3D Systems, a provider of 3D content-to-print solutions, has launched a new VIDAR DiagnosticPRO Edge digitizer.
The film digitizer, which features dual functionality for mammography and radiology, provides exceptional image quality and consistency.
3D Systems healthcare solutions vice president Greg Elfering said, "We are pleased to offer the first ever compact digitizer to combine general radiology and mammography applications, increasing user productivity and utility."
The company said the new digitizer will be presented at the Radiology Society of North America exhibition and conference being held in Chicago, Illinois, US, from 25th-30th November 2012.
In addition to film scanners, the company provides 3D printers,CAD, reverse engineering and inspection software tools, and apps and services.
