3D Systems, a provider of 3D content-to-print solutions, has launched a new dental material, designed for use in the ProJet MP 3500 dental model printer.

Compatible with all intraoral, impression and plaster scanners, the VisiJet PearlStone material prints dental models for crowns, bridges, orthodontic devices, implants and partial dentures.

The printed dental models, which are accurate and economical to produce, offer the appearance of dental stone, claims the company.

3D Systems business development vice president Lee Dockstader said, "We are pleased to offer this new material with the appearance of dental stone for the ProJet MP."

In addition to print materials, the company provides CAD, reverse engineering and inspection software tools and consumer 3D printers, apps and services.
