US-based medical technology company GE HealthCare has teamed up with MedQuest Associates, which owns, operates, and manages outpatient diagnostic imaging facilities, to offer medical device technology and digital tools for outpatient imaging centres.

Established in 1993, MedQuest provides services to hospitals and health systems, including daily operations management, marketing, billing and collections, and other support functions.

Under the three-year collaboration, GE HealthCare will combine its advanced technologies with the infrastructure and resources from MedQuest to optimise outpatient imaging networks.

Building on MedQuest’s joint venture partnerships and GE HealthCare’s advanced technologies, the collaboration will help deploy emerging imaging solutions, including Theranostics, into the ambulatory setting.

The partnership is expected to help hospitals and healthcare systems further expand their reach into the communities they serve and impact on delivering patient care.

GE HealthCare US and Canada imaging president Jason Schneck said: “GE HealthCare is excited to provide advanced technologies and digital tools to enable clinicians to make faster, more informed decisions through intelligent data and smart devices to help improve patient outcomes.”

According to GE HealthCare, advanced care models and emerging technologies in outpatient imaging are key to enhancing operational efficiency and expanding access to patient care.

MedQuest will continue to broaden its ability to provide high-performing care in the outpatient imaging space with the addition of AI-enabled digital capabilities from GE HealthCare

The AI capabilities include AIR Recon DL, AIR Touch Technology, Imaging Protocol Manager, Smart Subscription and Digital tools with Imaging 360.

The capabilities will help deliver personalised, precise patient care, and improve outcomes for patients while reducing the workflows for care teams, said the medical technology company.

MedQuest CEO Jason Howard said: “Building upon our more than 25-year history as a leader in outpatient imaging, our partnership with GE HealthCare will position us at the forefront of innovative care delivery and product line development, enhancing the level of care for our patients and health system partners.”
