Panasonic India, a subsidiary of Panasonic, is set to expand its healthcare product portfolio and diversify into LED lights and the infrastructure segment.

Under the healthcare equipment segment, Panasonic India plans to introduce blood sugar measurement machines specifically for hospitals and foot massagers for individual buyers, reported The Hindu Businessline.

The news paper has quoted Panasonic India Personal Beauty and Healthcare manager Eiji Ito as saying that they are studying the business prospects for the blood sugar measurement machine and are open to tie ups and acquisitions in the healthcare segment if necessary.

Panasonic India president Daizo Ito said by October 2011, they plan to introduce high end LED lights by focussing on the niche market, reported the source.

The company said, once Jhajjar (Haryana) facilities are ready, it plans to take part in infrastructure projects like automotives, railways and ship-building yards.
