Receptors, a development partner of PositiveID, is set to showcase its synthetic, closed-cycle sensing system.

Receptors has developed sensing system for an implantable glucose sensor, to be used in PositiveID’s GlucoChip glucose-sensing microchip.

The bio-sensor system uses radio frequency identification technology and includes a remote transponder in wireless communication with an implantable passively-powered on-chip transponder.

Receptors said the results of glucose-sensing system showed a measurable response to changing glucose levels in the human blood fractions that are relevant to glucose analysis in the body.
