Boston Scientific Corporation (Boston Scientific) is to invest EUR21.7 million in a research, development and innovation (RD&I) initiative at its site in Cork, with the support of the Government through IDA Ireland. The Cork site will be involved in the development of new products to treat neurovascular diseases of the brain - including coils, intracranial stent delivery systems and access devices.

Mark Paul, president of Boston Scientific’s neurovascular business, said: The performance and success of our Cork site gave us the confidence that this is the correct setting and timing for this strategic investment.

Boston Scientific is a medical device company that develops, manufactures, and markets broad range of interventional medical specialties.
