Covidien announced that its ForceTriad energy platform is compatible with the da Vinci Surgical System, da Vinci S Surgical System and da Vinci Si Surgical System.
The ForceTriad energy platform is an integrated system which meets all radiofrequency (RF) energy needs. This system provides surgeons with controlled energy delivery in a range of RF energy modalities electrosurgery, dissection and hemostasis.
The ForceTriad energy platform during minimally invasive robotic surgical procedures, works in concert with Intuitive Surgical’s da Vinci Surgical Systems in Cut and Coag mode. The synergistic approach using the ForceTriad energy platform and the da Vinci Surgical Systems brings energy-based ligation and hemostasis techniques to the new frontier of robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery.
