Zimmer Holdings, Inc. (Zimmer) has ceased operations at one of its manufacturing plants in Warsaw, Indiana manufacturing buildings, after three workers were injured by a furnace fire, the Reuters reported. The company said it will resume operations at the facility, which primarily makes hip and knee joint replacement devices, once the production areas are cleared for work to restart.

Zimmer spokesman Bradley Bishop said Building 5 at the company’s Warsaw industrial park was move out due to the early afternoon fire. He said one employee was move to a hospital in Fort Wayne with burns and two others were treated locally, adding the extent of their injuries was unknown.
