Zepp Health has launched the Zepp OS 3.5 technology, powered by large language model artificial intelligence (AI), for wearable intelligence devices.

Zepp OS 3.5 features Zepp Flow technology to enhance a new level of interaction with wearable devices.

The enhancement is said to make Zepp Health’s Amazfit smartwatches the first to have a fully integrated natural-language user interface (LUI) in its operating system.

Zepp Health, a smart wearables and health technology firm, has designed Zepp Flow to enable an easy connection between users and their devices and allow a natural, uninterrupted interaction.

The technology, which is intended to comprehend natural language, removes the need for preset commands or keywords, allowing users to freely communicate their intents.

According to the health technology firm, Zepp Flow streamlines the user experience and makes it more straightforward and intuitive by automatically understanding user demands.

In addition, the wearable technology identifies user speech rapidly and accurately to make a smooth and responsive interaction. It recognises the user’s intent and delivers the most suitable response.

Zepp Health CEO Wayne Huang said: “With dedicated R&D teams across North America, Europe, and Asia, we are committed to driving innovation and delivering unparalleled user experiences, to bring intelligent healthcare solutions empowering people to take control of their well-being.

“Zepp Flow epitomises our dedication to unified connectivity and intelligent functionality throughout our ecosystem.

“Expanding its reach from the Zepp OS on smartwatches to the Zepp App on smartphones, and integrating with natural language processing, Zepp Flow asserts itself as the omnipresent AI within our system.”

Today, a firmware update for the Amazfit Balance will be released to support Zepp OS 3.5 and Zepp Flow in the US, Canada, UK, and Ireland.

This update will be applied gradually to the Amazfit Cheetah series, Amazfit Falcon, and Amazfit T-Rex Ultra, beginning on 28 May 2024 and lasting until 11 June 2024. On 20 June 2024, the Amazfit Active is expected to receive an upgrade.
