Vascular Designs has obtained CE mark approval for its IsoFlow Infusion Catheter to target cancerous tumors.
The IsoFlow Catheter aids physicians to target and isolate body areas where infused drugs are delivered.
IsoFlow Infusion Catheter can also deliver medications to a cancerous tumor area.
The device also facilitates the Lateral Arterial Chemo Embolization (LACE) procedure.
Vascular Designs CEO Robert Goldman said directing treatment to specific locations increases the number of treatment options allowing better access to tumors and may reduce the discomfort to patients associated with the systemic application of chemotherapy.
