Illumina provides sequencing and array-based solutions for genotyping, copy number variation analysis, methylation studies, gene expression profiling, and low-multiplex analysis of DNA, RNA, and protein.
It also provides tools and services that fuel advances in consumer genomics and diagnostics.
Illumina said its Genome Network partners use Illumina sequencers, and have completed Illumina’s CSPro (Certified Service Provider) certification.
Each partner has 10 or more Illumina sequencing systems (Genome Analyzers and/or HiSeq 2000 systems) in their facility, providing the scalability to handle even the largest sequencing projects and the speed to provide data.
Illumina vice president and chief scientist David Bentley said they believe making whole genome sequencing more accessible to researchers is fundamental to enhance their understanding of human biology and making breakthrough medical advances.
