The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted patent protection to AbSorber's cross match-test - Xm-One.
Xm-One test can detect antibodies against the endothelial cells that line the inside of blood vessels.
The endothelial cells are the first point of contact between the transplanted organ and the recipient’s immune system.
The company said Xm-One has received patents in other regions including the EU, India, Australia and Canada.
Allenex CEO Anders Karlsson said currently they are working in collaboration with laboratories in the US to establish clinical use of the product.
