The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has approved a notice of allowance (NOA) to mPhase Technologies' modular device patent.
The patent covers a handheld, powered device, comprising a minimum of one power module, which is detachable and can separately connect to individual load modules.
Furthermore, it relates to a modular device for providing multiple modular components that may be interchanged as desired.
The company said that multiple modular components can be used in emergency applications.
