The US-based health care accrediting organization, URAC, has awarded Case Management and Health Plan certification to Regence BlueShield.
Regence PPO’s full accreditation for Case Management is certified based on the company’s appropriate patient protections including policies, informed consent, dispute resolution and other issues.
Regence’s conditional accreditation for Health Plan is certified based on key quality benchmarks for network management, provider credentialing, utilization management, quality management and improvement and consumer protection.
URAC president and CEO Alan Spielman said by applying for and receiving Case Management accreditation, Regence BlueShield has showed a commitment to quality health care.
