Universal Hospital Services (UHS) has acquired San Diego-based medical imaging solutions provider Radiographic Equipment Services (RES).

RES offers diagnostic imaging services for high-end modalities, comprising of MRI, CT, PET/CT, cardiac cath, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, mammography, ultrasound and other diagnostic radiology.

The company provides services to various major health systems in Southern California, in addition to other regional care providers.

The acquisition will enable UHS to expand its medical equipment service offerings, including on-demand medical equipment rental services, onsite equipment management programs and general biomedical repair and maintenance services for acute and alternative care providers.

With a network of 83 service depots in the US, UHS provides health care technology management and service solutions for national, regional and local acute care hospitals and alternate site providers in the country.
