TouchMark, a division of Delphon Industries and provider of medical device pad printing, has developed a printing process for medical applications using radiopaque inks for printing visible tags used with X-Ray, MRI or other imaging equipment.

TouchMark said that the medical industry uses radiopaque inks to mark devices that they want to track or locate during a medical procedure. The ink is easily seen on film or using a fluoroscope. TouchMark’s specialized process provides permanent ink adhesion on virtually any surface or substrate without flaking or chipping. TouchMark’s expertise includes printing on difficult surfaces such as FEP and Nitinol.

TouchMark, founded in 1992, was purchased by Delphon Industries in 2006. For more than 15 years the company has worked closely with electronics and medical customers to provide solutions to their pad printing challenges. TouchMark has developed an expertise with difficult substrates, inks and unique shapes.

In addition to pad printing, TouchMark has expanded its offerings over the years to include material procurement and preparation, incoming inspection, Cleanroom assembly, as well as post production services.
