Thermo Fisher Scientific has unveiled a new diagnostic tool - µDrop Plate to measure low-volume nucleic acid samples.

Using a single- or eight-channel pipette, samples are easily pipetted onto the µDrop Plate.

The µDrop is equipped with a 16 microliter-scale plate which can examine the sample of 2 µL simultaneously and also used to analyze purity of the samples.

The µDrop Plate’s fixed light path directly calculates the DNA or RNA samples concentrations.

By using few micrograms to few milligrams per milliliter without dilutions, users can detect double-stranded DNA (dsDNA).

The µDrop Plate is also constructed with a standard rectangular cuvette comprising a cuvette slot for endpoint, spectral and kinetic measurements.

The µDrop Plate has been designed to be used with the company’s Multiskan GO UV/Vis microplate and cuvette spectrophotometer and Varioskan Flash spectral scanning multimode reader.
