TeraRecon, Inc., (TeraRecon), a diagnostic imaging company, reported that the company achieved greater than 110% growth in European sales bookings for the company’s advanced visualization solutions, for 2008 versus 2007, during the 21st European Congress of Radiology (ECR), held in Vienna, Austria.

TeraRecon president Robert Taylor said “In early 2008, TeraRecon established European headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, which led to a great strengthening in our EU operations, as we were able to apply greater focus on local contract processing, order management and fulfillment, customer service, and local technical and clinical support.”

“We are very happy to report that this investment in the European market is paying dividends for our customers and partners in the region, as evidenced by the strong growth in sales bookings we have observed over the period in question.”

“Even in the face of a global economic slowdown, the European market for TeraRecon continues to go from strength to strength, as European medical imaging facilities embrace the opportunity to select an alternative to the limited advanced visualization solution that may be provided as standard by a CT, MR or PACS provider.”

”We have always believed that by providing a specialized and dedicated solution for department-wide or enterprise-wide advanced visualization, we offer a compelling value proposition, through integrated workflow across various modalities, and seamless integration with other medical image and information management systems, such as PACS, RIS and EMR. We believe we are seeing the validation of this philosophy as an ever-increasing number of customers in the EU region select TeraRecon as their advanced visualization partner. We aim to build and strengthen these partnerships through 2009, and we expect to see TeraRecon’s European business continue to expand. The company wishes to embrace this opportunity and hence we are re-doubling our efforts to offer the best value and service to the European medical imaging community.”
