TDK-Lambda has introduced new digitally-controlled 300 to 400 watt single output medical power supplies.

The new medical power supplies, available in convection and fan cooled versions, combine a 4kVac reinforced input-to-output isolation with dual fusing and an output-to-ground isolation of 1500Vac.

The company said 300 to 400 watt single output supplies can be used in medical/dental equipments, automation, laboratories, process controls, ATE, broadcast, instrumentation, routers, servers and security networks.

Overall efficiency, switching losses and noise reduction, improvement in EMC can be carried out on the output stage by the zero-voltage-switching resonant converter.

The microprocessor within the CFE400M controls the output of the resonant converter, current limit and peak current operation as well as housekeeping routines such as controlling the timing to turn power on/off and monitoring the PFC section.
