Specialty Surgical Instrumentation (SSI), a subsidary of Symmetry Medical, has introduced ElbowLOC Arm Positioning System.
The ElbowLOC system uses supine patient positioning to perform surgical procedures of the elbow.
The Positioning System is designed for efficient patient positioning and promotes shorter procedural times which provides surgeon a stable platform for elbow surgical procedures by eliminating the need for intraoperative arm traction devices.
Symmetry Medical president and CEO Thomas Sullivan said the launch of the ElbowLOC system is also consistent with their strategy to increase sales of proprietary, IP-backed medical device solutions, which drive improved gross margins and profitability.
