With its 11.3cc in volume, the Reply CRT-P is claimed to be the smallest cardiac resynchronization pacemaker across the globe.
Sorin Group cardiac rhythm management business unit president Stefano Di Lullo said: "Sorin Group is dedicated to developing solutions for heart failure that enable optimal management of comorbidities such as sleep apnea.
"Reply CRT-P is another example of this, providing state-of-the-art cardiac resynchronization therapy for HF patients while at the same time enabling the intuitive screening and monitoring of sleep apnea."
Reply CRT-P features proprietary algorithms that are said to manage heart failure effectively. It also features the firm’s dual sensor technology that enables physiologic adaptation of the heart rate during exercise.
The dual sensor responds to the metabolic demand of the body through the minute ventilation sensor, in contrast to single sensors.
The sleep apnea monitoring (SAM) algorithm determines severe sleep apnea through using a highly reliable sensor that measures ventilation.
