Sweden-based medical imaging IT company Sectra has inked a partnership agreement with Malaysian firm CT Frank Technology to distribute its Sectra visualization table in the Southeast Asian market.

As part of the agreement, CT Frank Technology will offer Sectra visualization table in the Malaysia, Thailand, China and Vietnam for various clients, including healthcare facilities and schools.

CT Frank Technology will also install the first visualization table at University Malaya Hospital in Kuala Lumpur, where it will be used in medical education and research.

Sectra Visualization Table offers the users to interact collaboratively with the real-size 3D images generated by CT and MRI scanners.

Sectra medical operations vice president, global sales partner Lars Wettergren said, "Our agreement with CT Frank Technology is the starting point in establishing distribution channels for our Sectra Visualization Table in Asia."

CT Frank Technology business development manager Louis Tan said the firm has already observed interest from medical institutions and health ministries about Sectra Visualization Table.

"The main benefit of the table is that it enhances the quality of medical education, although we also see many other valuable areas of use," Tan added.
