Sanuwave Health, a provider biological response activating medical devices in regenerative medicine, is set to present its new device, Profile, which incorporates Diffused Acoustic Pressure (DAP) technology, at the 20TH Biennial Congress of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), 2010 in San Francisco, California.

Sanuwave expects to share early stage therapy benefits from a series of case studies conducted by Miles Graivier, an aesthetic plastic surgeon in Roswell, GA, that demonstrate the use of Profile in post-surgical applications, body shaping and scar management.

Sanuwave said that the DAP technology utilises acoustic pressure waves to promote the benefits of massage through tissue stimulation.

Sanuwave president and CEO Christopher Cashman said that the early stage investigation has shown Profile to be a versatile device that can be used by physicians as a stand-alone or adjunctive therapy in multiple points of care, including the physician’s office, hospital and medi-spa.

“We are excited to share Profile with the medical community attending ISAPS and educate them on how Profile can add clinical and economic value to their practice,” Cashman said.

Profile is expected to become commercially available in the US in September 2010 and in the European Union by fourth quarter 2010.

In addition, Sanuwave expects to undertake a variety of clinical studies to further validate Profile’s benefits in a number of aesthetic and plastic surgery applications.
