Revolutions Medical has received an international patent in China for its proprietary RevVac safety syringe.

The RevVac auto retractable vacuum safety syringe uses a patented technology in which a vacuum causes the needle to retract into the barrel of the syringe or device after an injection is administered or blood is drawn.

Revolutions Medical’s safety syringe helps to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS and other blood borne diseases by eliminating accidental needle sticks and the reuse of contaminated needles.

The company has filed a US provisional patent in May 2011 which includes modifications and advancements of its current RevVac safety syringe to be used for pre-filled applications.

The company expects that its international pending patents will be approved in Japan, Canada, Australia, Taiwan and Europe.

Revolutions Medical has four US patents pending and a European patent pending for its proprietary MRI software tools including RevColor, RevDisplay, Rev3D, and RevScan.
