Physicians Endoscopy (PE), a provider of gastroenterology endoscopic services, has purchased a majority interest in the Ambulatory Center for Endoscopy and Colonoscopy (ACE) located in North Bergen, New Jersey, US.
ACE, a joint venture partnership between a coalition of eleven gastroenterologists and PE, is a ambulatory surgery center which provides access to the hospital’s ancillary services when needed.
Under the acquisition, PE will provide administrative services for ACE’s two-room facility, which performs in excess of 6,500 procedures annually.
Physicians Endoscopy vice president Carol Stopa said working with ACE’s their three-physician management team created the ideal structure for a coalition of this size.
