Perot Systems Corporation (Perot Systems), a provider of information technology services and business solutions, has signed an agreement with the Hunan Provincial Government of the People's Republic of China. The agreement provides Perot Systems to design construct and implement the Province's healthcare information exchange, network, which will include a regional HIT platform with advanced infrastructure support, and electronic health records.
The agreement will authorize Perot Systems to provide IT consulting services for healthcare organizations and public health initiatives throughout the Province.
In collaboration with the Provincial Government and in alignment with the Chinese national healthcare reform, the company was designated to begin the process of establishing the Regional Health Information Platform of Hunan Province, starting in its capital city of Changsha.
