Nonin Medical, a provider of noninvasive physiological monitoring devices, has introduced its latest Continua Certified device 1000USB-C USB adapter for its for handheld oximeter line.

The 1000USB-C adapter, designed for OEM system developers, enables any of Nonin’s handheld oximeters to conveniently transfer secure data in accordance with Continua Health Alliance guidelines.

The 1000USB-C adapter, second in a line of USB adapters, contains three interface ports for simple connection between any Nonin handheld oximeter, patient sensor and receiving device.

Nonin Medical said that with the advance, Continua-compliant pulse oximetry (SpO2) data can be securely transmitted in real time to various service providers such as health care facilities, disease management services or personal health record (PHR)/home telemedicine services.

Nonin’s physiological monitoring products for telemedicine are the prevailing standards for vital sign assessment in a wide range of chronic diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic heart failure (CHF), asthma and also helps in remote patient monitoring.
