New Mexico Software, a developer of medical IT services, has deployed a software module to link its XR-EXpress telemedicine services to other systems.

XR-EXpress enables x-rays, CT’s, echocardiograms, EKGs, ultrasounds and other diagnostics to be read and interpreted by qualified physicians at remote locations.

XR-EXpress service and Picture Archiving Communication System is available on the iPad with a free download from the Apple App Store to provide better services for their patients.

Schryver Medical (which owns TELCOR) vice president Chris Cunningham said the interface will allow their billing department to be paperless and more efficient because of their completed studies will transfer from XR-Express into TELCOR ready to be billed.

"This interface has changed their workflow and simplified billing process, which allows billing department to ensure that all of completed studies are billed timely and accurately," Cunningham said.

"It also has increased billers’ efficiency making them more productive and in these uncertain economic times it is exciting to have a partner like New Mexico Software that helps us to do more with fewer resources."
