The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has granted a $2m Phase II small business innovation research (SBIR) grant to Firefly BioWorks for its microRNA profiling.
The grant will be used by the company to expand its production capacity and validate microRNA assay.
Firefly BioWorks co-founder and CTO Daniel Pregibon said they look forward to work with their academic and industry partners to develop research tools in this field.
