MTBC has purchased all the assests of a North Carolina-based revenue cycle and practice management company, United Physicians Management Services (UPMS).
The acquisition enables UPMS clients to receive a complete, end-to-end, revenue cycle management, electronic health records (EHR) and practice management (PM) solution.
The clients will also get benefited from automated appointment reminder calls, real-time insurance eligibility verification, rules-based claims scrubbing, a customized practice website with online patient scheduling, electronic prescribing, proactive data-driven scheduling of reimbursable encounters, electronic lab connectivity services and more.
UPMS president and CEO Frank Peplowskib said collaborating with MTBC allows them to provide their clients with a comprehensive technology and service package.
"As a result of this new relationship, our clients will receive better service, support and technology infrastructure that will further enable our doctors to successfully manage their practices and focus on providing excellent patient care," Peplowski said.
