M*Modal and iMedX have signed a partnership agreement to integrate M*Modal’s Speech Understanding platform with the iMedX proprietary TurboFlow system.
TurboFlow is an Internet-based platform that supports the growing iMedX customer base and workforce of transcriptionists.
With Speech Understanding, iMedX drives reductions in document turnaround times, and facilitates better clinical care, and revenue cycle management for its clients.
In addition, the M*Modal technology supports iMedX’s strategy of rich integration with provider EMR systems by creating structured documents natively, consistent with the Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) standard, as well as text, adding informational value to what would otherwise be unstructured data.
M*Modal’s Speech Understanding technology transforms physician dictation into structured, encoded, and shareable data, which can be used to generate alerts and other intelligence needed to drive medical actions.
The technology adapts to physician workflow patterns and allows flexibility of use, supporting both self-editing and transcription-assisted completion of recognized documents.
