Meridian Co., Ltd. (Meridian), a cardiovascular devices company, has signed a contract with Sweden-based Aesthetic DERMA PRO (Aesthetic) for the marketing and sales of Meridian's LAPEX 2000 BCS in Scandinavian countries. The contract outlines that Aesthetic has been granted a one year exclusive license to market the LAPEX 2000 BCS series in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
Aesthetic is engaged in the business of the sale and distribution of specialty medical devices and related products in these countries. Meridian signed a similar contract for 2 years with Estetik Media International for sales of the product in Romania last September.
“Despite the global economic recession, LAPEX 2000 BCS still attracts great interest from European countries,” says Hyeon Seung Myeong, president and chief executive officer of Meridian.
“It has been just over two years since the Lapex 2000 BCS was first introduced to the European markets, and we have secured several solid distribution partners in most of Northern and Middle Europe”
Meridian looks forward to finalizing distribution contracts with Southern European countries before the Quarter 3 of 2009.
