Medtronic has launched two next-generation cardiovascular devices including the Integrity Coronary Stent System and the Endurant AAA Stent Graft System in Japan.

The Integrity Coronary Stent utilizes continuous sinusoid technology which delivers the device even during tight and tortuous heart arteries without compromising radial strength and radiopacity.

The Endurant AAA Stent Graft is used to treat abdominal aortic aneurysms and allows patients to be treated with endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) and avoid the need for major surgery.

Osaka University Department of Advanced Cardiovascular Therapeutics professor Sinsuke Nanto said the Integrity Coronary Stent enables easy access to distal and tortuous anatomies and also provides strut apposition to the vessel wall.

Jikei University School of Medicine Division of Vascular Surgery professor and chief and Department of Surgery chairman Takao Ohki said the Endurant stent graft is poised to become a go-to device for Japanese physicians in cases ranging from the relatively straightforward to the extremely difficult.
