From now on MedtecLIVE, the trade fair for the entire medical technology supply chain, will be an annual event alternating between the Stuttgart and Nuremberg exhibition centres. The “T4M –Technology for Medical Devices” show previously organised by Messe Stuttgart is being acquired by MedtecLIVE GmbH. It will now complement the content and product range of the new trade show being organised by MedtecLIVE GmbH. Through this partnership, the two trade fair companies are accommodating the sector’s urgent requests for a unique, central European event to be held in the springtime in the South of Germany, which incorporates the strong medtech regions Stuttgart/Tuttlingen and Nuremberg/Erlangen. The next trade fair under the new name “MedtecLIVE with T4M” will take place in Hall 9 at Messe Stuttgart from 3-5 May 2022 and will run parallel to the quality assurance exhibition “Control”. In 2023, MedtecLIVE will then open its doors again at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg.

“The established and successful trade fair MedtecLIVE will now be held alternately at two top locations. Exhibitors and visitors will benefit from an annual event in the spring at a central location that combines the concentrated power of two leading medtech regions in Europe,” says Dr Roland Fleck, CEO of NürnbergMesse. His fellow CEO Peter Ottmann adds: “The new constellation fully reflects the demands of the market and satisfies a long-held desire of the sector. We are pleased that we will be visiting Stuttgart with MedtecLIVE in even-numbered years in future.”

“Medical technology is an integral feature of Baden-Württemberg und especially of the Stuttgart region. More than 850 medtech companies are manufacturing and conducting R&D in our state. With a 25 percent share of the sector’s national turnover, Baden-Württemberg is the No. 1 location for medical technology in Germany,” explains Stefan Lohnert, President of Messe Stuttgart. “From our perspective it is therefore only logical to welcome the event to this well-established location for the medtech sector. In addition, you simply cannot beat its proximity to Tuttlingen and neighbouring European countries like Switzerland, the Netherlands and France, which are so crucial to the industry. We therefore offer the ideal conditions for promising business transactions. We look forward to welcoming MedtecLIVE to our exhibition centre in Stuttgart in even-numbered years as a key platform for the European medical technology scene.”

MedtecLIVE with T4M will be organised by MedtecLIVE team in Nuremberg. More details on the first round of MedtecLIVE with T4M in Stuttgart as well as information on the trade fair concept and supporting programme will be available in autumn 2021. Partners, associations and supporters of both exhibition formats have already committed to supporting the new concept.
