A patented medical device – Vasc-Alert utilizes an automated technology to analyze standard treatment data taken during each patient’s scheduled hemodialysis treatments to screen for vascular access dysfunction.

Vasc-Alert identifies patients who are at risk of developing a stenosis that may decrease the effectiveness of treatment or put the access site at risk of thrombosis.

Atlantic Dialysis Management Services co-principal Ganesh Bhat said Vasc-Alert helps advance their goal of reducing hospitalizations and catheter usage.

"In addition, it provides a simple and convenient way to comply with CMS requirements for access surveillance without increasing staff workload," Bhat said.
