Medical Simulation Corporation (MSC) has entered into a new agreement with Brigham and Women's Hospitalal, a teaching-affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
MSC provides full-service simulation training and education services to healthcare personnel, medical societies and medical product manufacturers.
The agreement includes MSC’s endovascular simulation system, Simantha, and MSC’s curriculum and training services to advance Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s continuing education and patient safety goals over the next three years.
In addition, the SimSuite Endovascular System will be located at the Neil and Elise Wallace STRATUS (Simulation, Training, Research and Technology Utilization System) Center for medical simulation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
The SimSuite Endovascular System provides cognitive and technical learning opportunities for all healthcare professionals working in cardiology, vascular surgery, interventional cardiology and interventional radiology, as well as for hospital-based nurses and emergency room teams.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital may also contract with MSC for onsite clinical education services to help meet short-term training and quality objectives.
MSC president and CEO Bill Younkes said that the SimSuite Endovascular System creates a high-fidelity, immersive training environment that aligns with the STRATUS educational mission to improve the skill and confidence level of all healthcare providers through realistic and risk-free training experiences.
