Lantronix, a provider of secure communication technologies, has introduced a next generation medical device aggregator - EDS-MD.
EDS-MD aids in delivering critical patient information data from EKG machines, infusion pumps, glucose analysers, patient monitoring systems and ventilators to any device or healthcare information system (HIS).
EDS-MD features a galvanic isolation which offers safety for connected equipment, thus enabling any grounding failures are contained to that single port and do not affect other connected devices.
Lantronix product management vice president Mak Manesh said EDS-MD is designed to meet the medical industry challenges, which will result in improved patient care, reduced costs, and increased efficiency through real-time access to data.
