Johnson & Johnson Medical India spokesman said that the company plans to introduce its insulin pumps for diabetic patients in the country by the end of 2009, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported. The company at the beginning will launch 3,000 insulin pumps and would increase it to 4,000 units next year.

These Insulin pumps are designed and manufactured by its parent company Johnson & Johnson Ltd and their priced tagged between INR50,000 and INR75,000 a pump.

Managing Director of Johnson & Johnson Medical India A. Vaidheesh told to PTI: “We are planning to launch insulin pumps in India by this December.”
