Insulet Corporation (Insulet) has appointed Peter Devlin as its chief commercial officer. In the newly created role, devlin will oversee company's sales and marketing, business development, clinical research and customer care operations. Devlin spent the last 11 years at Abbott Laboratories, most recently serving as divisional vice president of global strategic marketing, Diabetes Care.

In this role at Abbott Laboratories, Devlin was responsible for the development of commercial strategies, global brand management, market research, area strategic marketing, and business analytics and forecasting. Previously, Devlin served as marketing manager of i-STAT Corporation, a point-of-care blood analysis systems company, which was acquired by Abbott. Prior, Devlin spent eight years at C.R. Bard Inc., where he held various product management and engineering roles of increasing responsibility. Devlin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
