US-based InControl Medical has obtained an approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its InToneMV device, which provides both men and women a non-surgical treatment option for urinary and fecal incontinence.

Developed by the makers of InTone, InToneMV is a smaller, comfortable medical device that treats stress, urge and mixed incontinence for men and those women who suffer with vaginal atrophy.

InTone is listed as a Class II medical device by the FDA for the treatment of female urinary incontinence.

InControl Medical founder and CEO Herschel Peddicord noted "While InTone has helped countless women solve the embarrassing and uncomfortable issue of involuntary loss of urine, InToneMV allows us to expand our product line to help both men and women suffering with urinary and fecal incontinence."

For creating a home-based treatment for incontinence, the InTone and InToneMV devices combine muscle stimulation with voice-guided pelvic floor exercise, visual biofeedback, and a customizable probe.

This comprehensive approach provides users with an easy-to-use program without surgery, diapers, pads or meds, InControl Medical claims.
