IFS, a manufacturer of orthopedic implants, has introduced large cannulated screw system and a temporary external fixator system.
Cannulated screws are used for the treatment of fractures, osteotomies and non-unions of bones.
IFS portfolio also includes mini-cannulated screws which are used for small bone fixation and modular locking small fragment system that contains locking plates and screws.
The company said an Ilizerov type fixator system is pending FDA 510(k) clearance and is anticipated to be launched in the next quarter of 2012.
