Illinois Bone and Joint Institute (IBJI) has installed High Field Open MRI to serve patients of Chicago and Northeastern Illinois.

IBJI said Hitachi Medical Systems America (HMSA) has offered it technology with advanced MRI features.

By the MRI installation, physicians benefit from the flexibility of customizable protocols and arthrogram procedures, and the subspecialized image interpretations by Board Certified Radiologists.

MRI Services director Thomas Nagelli said upgrading the High Field Open MRI System allows them to offer referring physicians with image quality and their patients with comfort.

"With the combination of the faster scan times and the open architecture, we are able to accommodate patients of all types in this bore-less MRI System" Nagelli said.
