Medical technology firm Hill-Rom has introduced the TruSystem 3000 Mobile Operating Table to cater to the needs of hospitals.

The table will address hospitals' need for reliable and cost-effective operating room equipment

It features ergonomic handling, long-term reliability and patient safety.

All the additional components including head sections, leg sections, arm supports and anesthesia frames can be easily attached and detached through an easy-to-use coupling system.

Hill-Rom said the user interfaces are consistent in design, using easily recognisable icons, colours and symbols that ensure simplicity, efficiency and safety.

The remote control with its backlit display helps during surgeries under low-light surgical environments.

The table is claimed to take a weight of about 270kgs, which can accommodate a wide range of patients and their surgical needs.

It is available in most countries in Europe, Latin America, The Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Hill-Rom Surgical Solutions president Dirk Ehlers said: "The TruSystem 3000 Mobile Operating Table is a universal table that is suitable for various surgical disciplines.

"It can be customized for different surgical procedures due to Hill-Rom's broad range of available patient positioning components and accessories, addressing hospitals' needs for higher patient acquisition and case numbers, while maintaining safety and efficiency."

Ehlers said: "Our ideas for this table did not stop at the ergonomic and safe handling in day-to-day clinical use.

“We also made this table very easy to service to ensure long-term performance and reduce maintenance cost as well as keep disruption of the OR schedule to a minimum.”
