Henry Schein has entered into a contract to distribute LED Medical Diagnostics' VELscope Vx oral cancer screening system in Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands.
The VELscope Vx is used in combination with traditional head and neck exams to detect abnormal mucosal areas including oral cancer and premalignant dysplasia.
The VELscope Vx is featured with a camera system which capture fluorescence and white light pictures as photo-documentation and useful for maintaining records.
Henry Schein European Dental Specialties and Exclusives president Andreas Meldau said they believe that supplementing the conventional exam with a VELscope Vx exam can help enhance their customers’ ability to detect the disease at an early stage.
