Medical devices manufacturer Hardy Diagnostics has selected Pilgrim Quality Solutions as its quality solution provider.

Pilgrim's QMS solutions will be deployed in the cloud to support Hardy’s quality automation initiatives at its manufacturing sites and distribution/service centers.

The platform, which will be used as single source for quality compliance management, replaces previous disparate systems to carry out better processing across the enterprise. It will implement the integrated SmartSolve solutions deployed in the Pilgrim Cloud.

SmartSolve document management will provide employees on-demand access to controlled documents, in addition to facilitating electronic and mobile-ready change control and approval processes to enhance document lifecycle management.

SmartSolve training management will help in better enforcement of standard operating procedures and training, helping to maintain competent and compliant workforce across the enterprise.

Hardy Diagnostics is also planning to launch additional components of the integrated SmartSolve suite, including solutions for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and nonconformance management, as well as audit, complaints, and supplier quality management.

Hardy Diagnostics quality director Sue Pruett said: “We selected Pilgrim as our quality solution provider based on its track record of leadership in the Life Sciences arena, and the proven capabilities of its comprehensive, closed-loop platform for quality improvement and regulatory compliance.

Pilgrim CEO Richard Lowrey said: “In today’s highly regulated industries, accuracy of data and real-time document and training management are critical paths to a company’s quality compliance.”

Hardy Diagnostics provides medical devices, which can be used in microbiological procedures in both clinical and industrial laboratories.

It produces around 2,700 different products for the culture and identification of bacteria and fungi, as well as reagents and media for use by molecular biology researchers.
