Halyard Health has introduced the EZstim III peripheral nerve locator and stimulator, to helps clinicians monitor patients during general anesthesia.

EZstim is a hand-held device which intends ti improve effectiveness of catheter placement for nerve blocks.

The device will deliver the performance of two devices through acting as either a full-function nerve locator or a neuromuscular block monitor.

It features an audible indicator of open circuit, detachable and function-specific lead sets to avoid inappropriate use, as well as built-in bumper to protect from breakage.

According to the company, EZstim III is electrosurgery compatible and can be operated  near other surgical equipment.

EZstim III is part of the ON-Q pain relief system suite of products, which comprises pain pumps, pump accessories and peripheral nerve block accessories.
