The solution integrates Getinge’s Maquet Magnus OR table system with GE's Discovery IGS 730 angiography system.

The combination system allows hospitals to expand the range of surgical procedures and interventions for patients, in addition to enhancing the Hybrid OR procedures.

Maquet Magnus OR table system has been designed for advanced imaging applications and surgical procedures.

The system has a floating function, which enables rapid and precise movements during catheter-based interventions.

It will use interchangeable table tops for multiple clinical applications ranging from an advanced 360-degree 3D diagnostic imaging to specialized surgical procedures.

The Discovery IGS 730 angiography system features a laser-guided mobile gantry, which allows it to conveniently position throughout the OR with better predictability to offer the medical team with full patient access.

The system also allows to carry out 2D imagery, in addition to providing cone-beam CT HD and multimodality 3D Fusion imaging.

Getinge Group surgical workflows division Americas marketing vice president Mark Rider said: "Hybrid ORs have become the standard of care at medical centers throughout the United States as these multidisciplinary and multipurpose rooms have been shown to lead to improved clinical outcomes for cardiothoracic and other patients.

"With the U.S. launch of this new integrated solution that combines our MAGNUS OR table system, the centerpiece of a Hybrid OR, with GE's angiography system, hospitals across the country will be able to provide the best care for their patients who require a variety of multidisciplinary surgical interventions."
