Forerun is offering its UrgiCare Manager documentation and care management solution to the expanding free-standing emergency department and urgent care center marketplace.

Forerun claims that UrgiCare Manager integrates with available practice management solutions and hospital systems, making it attractive to both independent urgent care centers and those affiliated with hospitals.

According to the company, UrgiCare Manager’s intuitive single chart template supports physician productivity for the range of acuity typically seen in these care environments.

Forerun CEO Ken Wolfe said that expanding the company’s offerings to meet the needs of these other unscheduled care environments is a natural extension for Forerun.

"Leveraging our expertise in ED clinical operations and system integration, we’re delivering a pre-built configurable solution that addresses the specific needs of the Urgent Care space," Wolfe added.

With its interoperability features, UrgiCare Manager enhances care coordination with patients’ primary care providers. UrgiCare Manager features advanced reporting and analytics that provide facility managers with near real time data on key metrics needed to optimize center operations.

According to Forerun, the UrgiCare Manager application is provided as a centrally managed and hosted solution offering the same high quality service and system reliability enjoyed by its emergency department customers.
