Flex, a provider of Sketch-to-Scale solutions, has introduced BrightInsight digital health offering on Google Cloud platform.

BrightInsight is an advanced medical-grade managed services solution, which analyzes connected medical device data and therapies to deliver real-time insights within a regulatory-compliant environment.

The solution will enable patients and health care professionals ranging from physicians to medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers to better understand medical device usage and medication adherence, and streamline the product development and certification process.

Flex will use Google Cloud’s advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to deliver insights across customizable analytics dashboards.

Google Cloud platform will allow BrightInsight to securely store, analyze and derive insights from health information, without the support of pharmaceutical and medical technology customers.

BrightInsight applications include controlling connected devices, drug dosing, decision support, personalized patient interventions, trend analysis and AI-driven insights.

BrightInsigh solution will support CE-marked and FDA-regulated Class I, II and III medical devices, combination products and software as a medical device requirements, helping to enable automated interventions.

The service will help pharmaceutical and medical technology companies to focus on their drug, device or combination product submissions without the load of documenting the software platform.

Flex digital health senior vice president Kal Patel said: "We saw the need for a secure cloud platform designed to support highly-regulated connected drug delivery and medical devices, going beyond simple connectivity to deliver real-time intelligence and actionable insights.

Google Cloud healthcare vice president Gregory Moore said: With a partner like Flex, we will enable our customers to develop innovative solutions and leverage machine learning-based analytics that can turn new data sets from wearables, medical devices, therapies and apps into actionable information for patients and providers."

Flex will showcase the BrightInsight platform at the annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference, which will take place between 5 March and 9 March in Las Vegas, Nevada.
