The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Tandem Diabetes Care's t:slim insulin delivery system to treat diabetes mellitus.
The t:slim is a programmable insulin infusion pump which utilizes proprietary micro-delivery technology through which insulin is delivered from a 300-unit cartridge.
The t:slim has a vivid color touch screen which makes diabetes management easier to teach and easier to learn.
The company is preparing for the US launch of the product.
